Meet our Founders
The brand Aisshpra was the brainchild of its founders- Shri Balkrishnaji & Late Shri Gopi Krishnaji. Shri Balkrishnaji and his elder brother Late Shri Gopi Krishnaji founded the store measuring only 100 square feet in 1940 for the sales of "zari and gota". Expanding into the retail segment, they added silver articles like anklets and toe-rings to their collection. Slowly with increasing demand and customer confidence, gold jewellery was added to the collection and the building in which the shop was rented was purchased for expansion purposes. 75 years of Independent India and 84 years of the Hari Prasad Gopi Krishna Saraf Group, resulted in the formation of its evolved identity AISSHPRA GEMS & JEWELS.
Today, the entire lane where the parent store, Aisshpra is located, is known by the name of Gopi Gali, in memory of its founder- Late Shri Gopi Krishnaji. The family heirloom has seen massive expansion and witnessed unprecedented sales, under the precise vision and keen leadership of Mr Atul and Mr Anoop Saraf, sons of Balkrishna ji.
Mr Atul Saraf helms all the initiatives of the Hari Prasad Gopi Krishna group, now Aisshpra- Gems & Jewels, alongwith his brother Mr Anoop Saraf. Together both are thrilled to take Aisshpra to new heights and further the progress of the family heirloom. Shri Balkrishnaji, the Patriarch of the group, makes it a point to be present at the pilot store ensuring quality customer service while his grandsons, Mr Saumitra and Mr Vaibhav Saraf, the forerunners are taking charge of every other area of retail. Mrs Vandana Saraf, their mother being the anchor woman of the house, looks after the merchandising and marketing functions with great participation.
With a keen vision of brand expansion, Aisshpra soon moved from Ghantagar, Gorakhpur to extend its footprints in other parts of the Purvanchal region. Today, Aisshpra has a wide presence across 11 stores in the Purvanchal region.
As a frontrunner in the Gems and Jewellery industry, Aisshpra has established a credible reputation in the business. Their customers continue to be loyal to the brand for three generations now.
