CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY POLICY (CSR)

At Aisshpra, we aim to further the success of our jewellery enterprise whilst actively fulfilling our social responsibility. In the words of the Founder of Aisshpra, Shri Balkrishna Ji-

“Social responsibility is not limited to any particular individual, enterprise or industry. It is a collective responsibility of all, both as individuals and as enterprises, everyone has a joint responsibility to contribute to the upliftment of society.”

At Aisshpra, we practice social responsibility as part of our daily lives. At Aisshpra, the objective of social responsibility is inherent in our company plans and agendas.  We aim to create an overarching vision for the company that aligns corporate success with the goal of social welfare. Aisshpra actively supports the view of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs of India in implementing the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities laid out by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

As an avid supporter and promoter of social development and upliftment programmes, Aisshpra makes it a point to earmark a part of its income for carrying out its social responsibilities. Aisshpra’s philanthropic endeavors help them to fulfill their commitment to society, both as individuals, meeting the humanitarian cause, and also as a leading retail jewellery enterprise, thriving by customer satisfaction.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY PURPOSE STATEMENT

At Aisshpra, our Corporate Social Responsibility derives its philosophy, basis, and tenets from the Aisshpra Foundation, CSR purpose statement, which reads as:
“The Aisshpra Foundation CSR policy seeks to create a positive impact on the lives of individuals by actively engaging in and supporting the activities and practices, that aim to improve the wellbeing of all individuals. CSR policy of the Company focuses primarily on ensuring accessibility to clean and secure drinking facilities, providing resources for ensuring quality education, especially providing assistance to support the education of the underprivileged girl child, ensuring quality healthcare facilities, engaging in environmental protection practices, ensuring skill development for the underprivileged, and support for Arts, Crafts and Indian Heritage. This policy is to be read in alignment with the requirements of Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013 (the 'Act') and the corresponding rules made there under, as amended from time to time ('CSR Rules'), and Schedule VII of the Act.”

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY COMMITTEE

Aisshpra Foundation- is our corporate social responsibility (CSR) committee. Aisshpra Foundation is responsible for implementing and overseeing the proposed CSR programmes or projects. They are responsible for administering the proposed policies or programmes through implementing partner(s) or via self-implementation, decided thereof. The CSR Committee shall provide guidelines for projects/partner selection to the respective HR or CSR teams, wherever applicable if required. The Aisshpra Foundation- CSR committee is also responsible for ensuring that projects/programmes are compliant with the CSR purpose statement, and regulations and are monitored and reported effectively.
The Aisshpra Foundation, our CSR Committee oversees the implementation and monitoring of all CSR projects/programmes conducted by Aisshpra. Periodic reports are prepared to review the implementation of social development activities undertaken by Aisshpra. Aisshpra Foundation has a structured, transparent monitoring and review mechanism to ensure the successful implementation of each CSR project/programme.

SCOPE

The Aisshpra Foundation CSR policy shall apply to all projects/programmes undertaken by the company, as part of the Company's Corporate Social Responsibility. The policy shall be updated, reviewed, and edited periodically with reference to changes in areas of corporate governance, international standards, and sustainable and innovative practices. The Aisshpra CSR policy will at all times, be compliant and aligned with the activities listed in Schedule VII and Section 135 of the Companies Act 2013 and the rules framed thereunder.

CSR SPEND

The Aisshpra Foundation recommends to the Finance Department, the amount of expenditure to be incurred on the proposed CSR activities as committed to be undertaken by the Aisshpra, as specified in Schedule VII of the Companies Act 2013, as amended from time to time.

Aisshpra Foundation was instituted with the solitary motive of identifying key areas or parameters of social development, formulating plans with an agenda of social upliftment, mobilizing effective resources and support, and undertaking actions to ensure that individuals, communities, and societies together lead quality lives.
Aisshpra Foundation firmly believes, that access to clean and secure drinking water is undeniable and an absolute human necessity. Gaps in access to water supply and sanitation, growing populations, more water-intensive patterns of growth, increasing rainfall variability, and pollution are combining in many places to make water one of the greatest risks to economic progress, poverty eradication and sustainable development. Understanding the significance of the same, Aisshpra has established about 30+ RO and chilled water plant facilities in the Purvanchal region.  Aisshpra Foundation has been successful in establishing RO facilities in regions like the

The efforts of the Aisshpra Foundation to establish RO facilities, across different areas in the Purvanchal region, is an effort that has sought massive appreciation from dignitaries like- Shri Akhil Kumar, ADG of Gorakhpur Zone, and Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath, and also from the common people, who have benefitted the most from the clean water facilities. Aisshpra has directly impacted the lives of more than 1 Crore people, in the Purvanchal region, through its unbound dedication and commitment to establishing RO facilities and chilled water plants.

  • October 28, 2023- Aisshpra Foundation took an initiative in collaboration with Buddha Institute of Technology, GIDA, Gorakhpur to provide scholarships to 10 engineering students. These scholarships were instrumental in helping the students achieve academic excellence and prosper in their chosen fields.
  • May 21, 2023- Free RO and Chilled Water Plant installed by Aisshpra Foundation, CSR branch of Aisshpra Gems & Jewels, in Gorakhpur District Court Complex. The plant was inaugurated by Hon'ble Justice Shri Rahul Chaturvedi and Shri Surendra Singh, in the presence of the District Judge, of Gorakhpur Shri Tej Pratap Tiwari. With the installation of the RO plant, free clean drinking water will be easily available to the advocates, litigants, and employees visiting the District Court Complex. The capacity of the RO plant is 800 liters per hour and the storage capacity is one thousand liters. The RO plant will also conserve water as the wastewater coming out of its water purifier will go back to the ground through water harvesting technology.
  • 11 December, 2022- Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Blood Separator Unit installed by Aisshpra Foundation at Guru Shri Gorakhnath Hospital. Gorakhpur is a major center of medical treatment not only for Purvanchal but also for the neighboring state of Bihar and the neighboring country of Nepal. With the installation of a blood separator, four patients will benefit from one unit of blood. RBC, plasma, platelets, and FFP can be extracted from one unit of blood, which can be useful for four patients. With the installation of an additional blood separator in Guru Shri Gorakhnath Hospital, patients with dengue, burns, anemia, thalassemia, etc. will not have to wait to get different blood components.
  • 12 November, 2022- MP Ravi Kishan inaugurated RO and pure cold drinking water plant at Regional Sports Stadium, ideated by the Aisshpra Foundation.
  • 23 August, 2022- Free eye check-up camp organised by Aisshpra Foundation.
  • 30 June, 2022- CCTV cameras installed at 6 intersections of Gorakhpur city by Aisshpra Group.
  • 14 June 2022- Voluntary Blood Donation camp was organized at Gokul Atithi Bhawan by Aisshpra in collaboration with Amar Ujala Foundation & Seva Bharti on account of World Blood Donor Day. Mr Saumitra Saraf, Director of Aisshpra, was the first to donate blood from the Aisshpra team, he urged volunteers to pledge and donate blood to save lives.
  • 23 January,2022- Winter clothes distribution for the young children at Seva Bharti, Padri Bazar, Gorakhpur by Aisshpra Foundation.
  • 24 December, 2021- To spread period awareness among the public, Aisshpra Foundation conducted a powerful campaign, wherein, sanitary pads were freely distributed, to rural women in Vikas Khand, Mehdiganj region in Gorakhpur.
  • 7 September, 2021- Aisshpra Foundation volunteering to rescue and help the flood victims of Gorakhpur.
  • 17 March, 2021- Aisshpra joined hands with NPO Divine Sanskar to feed the young underprivileged children in Varanasi.
  • 6 March, 2021- Former RAW agent Manoj Ranjan Dixit was given financial assistance by Aisshpra Director Mr. Umang Agarwal.
  • 28 December, 2020- Blankets were distributed to poor and helpless mothers in the Leprosy Ashram with the help of volunteers of Aisshpra Foundation.
  • 20 December, 2020- Aisshpra Foundation committed to providing free paramedical course education to 10 girl students in a two-year Diploma in Physiotherapy (DPT).
  • 5 July, 2020- Aisshpra Foundation's Tree plantation drive was organized at an upcoming Five Star Hotel property in Gorakhpur.
  • 9 January, 2020- Aisshpra Foundation launched, WOW- Women of Worth, a campaign to empower women and equip them with necessary resources in their quest for self-actualization.
  • 8 January, 2020- Sahasi- a women empowerment Campaign was launched by Aisshpra Foundation to provide a better life to the women.
  • 31 December 2019- Aisshpra Foundation distributed reusable eco-friendly bags among the rural community to encourage the use of sustainable and reusable bags instead of plastic bags.
